Client story: George’s journey to owning property at aged 79

Just over five years ago George’s son and daughter-in-law, who were living in Perth, told George they wanted to sell a 10,000 square metre property they owned at the back of Taradale, Hawke’s Bay.

This piqued George’s interest and he said to his children that he would like to purchase it. He saw the value in it. It was large enough to be developed and he hoped to sell off a couple of sections from it.

At the time, George was 79 years old. He understood that the possibility of getting a substantial mortgage to purchase the property may be completely out of the question.
